Phoney Sunak lying directly on Spotlight
Our helicopter prime minister landed in Devon today, and so did his latest lies about Net Zero. As he bulldozed Spotlight’s political editor, Martyn Oates, who did his best to make Sunak listen, he claimed that abandoning key climate policies would ‘save South West families thousands of pounds by stopping them being forced to install heat pumps’. He knows full well that no one is being forced to install heat pumps under existing plans. But he went ahead and lied all the same. Is there any Tory politician these days who doesn’t?
