Thanks so much for your ongoing and very positive work for our local communities and constituencies.
You and I haven’t been in touch directly for ages, on my side primarily because I have been dealing with medical issues which resulted in me having a weakened immune system for several years, so I had to live in a bubble beyond the Covid years.
Fortunately, I have still been able to continue developing the infrastructure for Living Memories Online, which we shall shortly be promoting nationally and setting up a new charity to develop our Tea and Memories groups as a social franchise around the UK.
To my surprise, several months ago I was contacted by a senior civil servant in No 10 to say that I was to receive an all-party supported non-political Points of Light Awardhttps://www.pointsoflight.gov.uk/, for having created Living Memories Online to help reduce loneliness nationally.
I have to admit that i had never heard of the Award, but it does have an interesting history and has already opened a few doors for Living Memories amongst civil servants, hopefully with more useful contacts under the new Government.
I hope that in the near future Living Memories can have a presence at Seaton Hospital and play an active role in the community, as we had discussed in the past.
